Stillness and Conversation
A monthly Vedic Meditation gathering.
Community Meditation Adelaide
Vedic Meditation is often practiced alone, yet there is something special about coming together in stillness.
Stillness and Conversation is a complimentary monthly meditation gathering hosted by DharmiCalm for those who have completed a DharmiCalm Vedic Meditation workshop. We also warmly welcome Vedic Meditators and Transcendental Meditation practitioners from the wider Adelaide community.
Whether you attend in person or join via Zoom, these gatherings offer an opportunity to reconnect with your practice, enjoy the support of like-minded meditators, and deepen your understanding of meditation in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
What to Expect:
Each session runs for approximately one hour and includes:
A welcoming introduction
A 20-minute group meditation
Time for questions and discussion
A short talk exploring practical aspects of Vedic Meditation
Insights from neuroscience research relating to meditation, stress, sleep, focus, and wellbeing
Discussion of the timeless philosophies and wisdom that underpin the Vedic tradition
The atmosphere is informal, supportive, and suitable for both newer and experienced meditators.
Why Attend?
While meditation is simple to practice independently, many people find that meditating with others helps refresh and strengthen their practice. Benefits may include:
Reconnecting with your meditation practice
Renewing consistency and motivation
Meeting like-minded meditators
Sharing experiences and insights
Asking questions about meditation
Exploring Vedic philosophy in an accessible and practical way
Learning about current neuroscience research related to meditation and the brain
Taking time each month to pause, reflect, and recharge
Meditation, Community and Learning
For thousands of years, meditation traditions have recognised the value of gathering together. A shared period of stillness, followed by thoughtful conversation, creates an opportunity to learn, connect, and deepen our understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
Each month, Stillness and Conversation explores both the practical and philosophical aspects of meditation. Discussions may include themes from the Vedic tradition, everyday applications of meditation, and emerging neuroscience research that helps explain the benefits of regular practice.
